These were left over from table arrangements we did for Cirque Le Masque at the Classic Center. Aren't they so bright and cheerful? They are one of my favorite flowers...in a close 2nd to Peonies. I wish these on the dining room table would've lasted through this weekend for Mother's Day brunch at my house! Unfortunately, I threw out the last of them this morning;( I'll have to start picking, (and posting about) flowers from my own yard to enjoy indoors!<br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div>Catherinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07493175832266721004noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5367353680653267027.post-9257072465939516862010-05-05T07:59:00.000-07:002010-05-05T09:56:54.984-07:00I Spy<div align="center">I spy some FABULOUS fabric!! In this <a href="http://dailynesting.blogspot.com/2010/01/fabulous-finds.html">post</a> about my rugs, you saw the fabric this headboard is covered in.</p><p align="center"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S-GZXWRi2UI/AAAAAAAAAs8/ViXtpFwOEec/s1600/fabric.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 276px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5467820048999700802" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S-GZXWRi2UI/AAAAAAAAAs8/ViXtpFwOEec/s400/fabric.jpg" /></a> Don't you love these dining room chairs? I love this fabric because it's definatly an eye catcher, but also light and airy at the same time. Habitually Chic posted that <a href="http://search.kravet.com/CoverInformation.aspx?SKU=LA1317.503&Catalog=400#">Laura Ashley </a>makes it and it's also found at <a href="http://www.calicocorners.com/">Calico Corners</a>. I'm not sure if it's the same print, but it sure looks pretty close! Check out how I used my fabric...I don't think I'll ever get tired of it!</p><div align="center"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S-GYek1jb1I/AAAAAAAAAs0/__rKEzhIkhk/s1600/Rugs+001.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5467819073656287058" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S-GYek1jb1I/AAAAAAAAAs0/__rKEzhIkhk/s400/Rugs+001.jpg" /></a> Being the bargain hunter that I am, I'm proud to say I spent very little on the fabric itself. Twice a year in Covington, GA my Mom and I go to this GREAT fabric sale. A lot of it is remnants of designer fabrics, but sometimes you get lucky and find enough yards to do something with it. I thought this fabric was <a href="http://www.robertallendesign.com/fabrics/index.aspx">Robert Allen</a>, but I may be mistaken because I've never been able to find it on his website. Stay tuned for a future post just of my fabric finds...<br /><br /><br /><div></div><br /></div>Catherinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07493175832266721004noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5367353680653267027.post-34224104934469060272010-04-01T08:22:00.001-07:002010-04-01T08:30:52.848-07:00Happy Easter!<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S7S7W2YqtiI/AAAAAAAAAss/3XQm0dZuwdY/s1600/Easter+005.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5455191049883006498" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S7S7W2YqtiI/AAAAAAAAAss/3XQm0dZuwdY/s400/Easter+005.jpg" /></a><br /><div><br /><br /></div><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S7S6khRtyPI/AAAAAAAAAsc/MWP_9sKopvY/s1600/Easter+003.jpg"></a><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5455190389167252210" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S7S6wZBwYvI/AAAAAAAAAsk/Qv2UIiVaftA/s400/Easter+002.jpg" /><br /><br /><br /><div align="center"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S7S6YWufTvI/AAAAAAAAAsU/3St7KmLbpxw/s1600/Easter+007.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5455189976232709874" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S7S6YWufTvI/AAAAAAAAAsU/3St7KmLbpxw/s400/Easter+007.jpg" /></a> A delightful creation from Flowers by Posy!</div><div align="center">Enjoy this wonderful weather and have a Happy Easter!<br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div>Catherinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07493175832266721004noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5367353680653267027.post-50684647191781523032010-03-31T08:47:00.000-07:002010-03-31T09:05:42.876-07:00Happy Spring!!<div align="center">I kept Posy Ann Saturday afternoon, so of course we had a photo shoot!</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S7NwW3fCxrI/AAAAAAAAAr0/6IyQG-VqnGA/s1600/Posy+Ann+011.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5454827111829391026" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S7NwW3fCxrI/AAAAAAAAAr0/6IyQG-VqnGA/s400/Posy+Ann+011.jpg" /></a> She and her babydoll Hugums LOVED playing in the daffodils!<br /><div><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5454825923974607874" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S7NvRuYZNAI/AAAAAAAAArc/VPaBH69dxQU/s400/Posy+Ann+014.jpg" /> She loves being outside and flowers...I think she was named appropriately;)<br /><br /><div><div align="center"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5454826586979956482" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S7Nv4URL9wI/AAAAAAAAArs/P7oxyGocltk/s400/Posy+Ann+004.jpg" /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S7NvCG3XwOI/AAAAAAAAArU/ygUUPaGPTqU/s1600/Posy+Ann+009.jpg"></a>Posy Ann also loves to nap in grown up beds! I turned this old egg basket into a chandelier in my kitchen! I know it's a little funky, but it's been quite the conversation piece. It wasn't as involved as you might think, but like every other home project it took 3 trips to Lowe's before it was complete. The quirkiness of it has really grown on me and I really love the design it makes on the ceiling!! I've got another one just like this in yellow I'm currently using to hold towels in my bathroom. If I ever get my act together I'm going to make a chandelier out of it too. And when that happens I'll have an Etsy shop with lots of other vintage homemade goodies for sale! Now, onto getting those eyesore cabinets painted!</div><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><div></div></div>Catherinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07493175832266721004noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5367353680653267027.post-11012359024165046632010-02-25T12:56:00.000-08:002010-02-25T13:23:05.946-08:00Smart and Small<div align="center">My kitchen, much like this one featured in <a href="http://www.housebeautiful.com/">House Beautiful</a>, is small...and I'd like to think it's Smart as well!</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S4bkW9xTmvI/AAAAAAAAAqs/vPLEp8oS9EU/s1600-h/hb.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5442288282913446642" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 313px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S4bkW9xTmvI/AAAAAAAAAqs/vPLEp8oS9EU/s400/hb.jpg" border="0" /></a></div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center"> I like the look of shelving instead of cabinets, but then again I know how unorganized my cabinets can become and love that you never know it unless you open them up! Don't you love this entryway?<br /><br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5437086670747714178" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S3RphSbtwoI/AAAAAAAAAo0/0TRGLXsBpWE/s400/Flower+Show+2010+006.jpg" />I really liked the layout of the stones in the pathway. They used all different sizes which made it interesting and the colors blended so well with the wood from the arbor. Planted in between the stones was a combination of wheat grass, violas and moss. The violas were a great touch and would come back each year! Dargan Landscapes also carries custom made outdoor furniture, you can check it out <a href="http://dargan.com/">here</a> and get lost in a few of the garden tours available on their website. I'm sure you'll love it all too!<br /><br /><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5437086945874817954" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S3RpxTXIM6I/AAAAAAAAAo8/bs4xqpiov_g/s400/Flower+Show+2010+007.jpg" /><br /><div>Aren't the colors of the stone great? I can't remember what type it is, but I would love to use it for a pathway or sitting area. All the bright colored tulips and hyacinths has me dreaming of Spring!!!</div><br /><div></div></div>Catherinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07493175832266721004noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5367353680653267027.post-76859969268710408602010-02-10T10:11:00.000-08:002010-02-10T10:47:00.638-08:00More from the SE Flower Show...Jeez...I'm so embarrassed by these pictures, but I had to share them anyway...please don't judge me;) They are from Farmer D Organics' exhibit. I loved everything about this booth.<br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S3L3M4Y5wYI/AAAAAAAAAos/eQVWxT2ZSw8/s1600-h/Flower+Show+2010+005.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5436679500856934786" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S3L3M4Y5wYI/AAAAAAAAAos/eQVWxT2ZSw8/s400/Flower+Show+2010+005.jpg" /></a> I really like the simplicity of this arbor. It looks like something I could put together! It is built with Western Red Cedar, and the beds built around the base is a great look!<br /><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S3L3MomRCuI/AAAAAAAAAok/VHf5Rn8v35M/s1600-h/Flower+Show+2010+004.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5436679496618019554" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S3L3MomRCuI/AAAAAAAAAok/VHf5Rn8v35M/s400/Flower+Show+2010+004.jpg" /></a> This was a tiered raised bed, also built out of cedar. It was almost perfect height so you wouldn't have to bend over so far to pick the veggies on top!<br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S3L3MSbDB7I/AAAAAAAAAoc/iZ2OrfGIht0/s1600-h/Flower+Show+2010+003.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5436679490665383858" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S3L3MSbDB7I/AAAAAAAAAoc/iZ2OrfGIht0/s400/Flower+Show+2010+003.jpg" /></a> This raised bed is a great example of utilizing a small amount of space. I'm filing these pictures away for future use in my own garden! And, do you know what the best part is? You can buy these raised beds to go at and get bundles of great info on organic and sustainable gardening at <a href="http://www.farmerd.com/">http://www.farmerd.com/</a>!!<br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div>Catherinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07493175832266721004noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5367353680653267027.post-6944147981132358012010-02-09T11:48:00.001-08:002010-02-09T12:11:44.407-08:00Flower Show Recap<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S3HBDK9h2nI/AAAAAAAAAoU/eaoGtysTQDM/s1600-h/Flower+Show+2010+009.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5436338485439093362" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S3HBDK9h2nI/AAAAAAAAAoU/eaoGtysTQDM/s400/Flower+Show+2010+009.jpg" /></a><br /><div></div><div> I loved this one! I went last year for the first time and LOVED it! It is amazing what these vendors create. They bring in all materials and construct these beautiful displays to show off their talents to the public. I'm excited to be inspired for my own (neglected) yard. Here are a few pictures from 2009's show...<br /><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S2hnA4Mv8AI/AAAAAAAAAms/jCp0XbI0ghA/s1600-h/seflowershow4.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433706215206023170" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 266px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S2hnA4Mv8AI/AAAAAAAAAms/jCp0XbI0ghA/s400/seflowershow4.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S2hnAd0519I/AAAAAAAAAmk/gf8_-lEHYzU/s1600-h/seflowershow3.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433706208126687186" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 225px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 337px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S2hnAd0519I/AAAAAAAAAmk/gf8_-lEHYzU/s400/seflowershow3.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S2hm_4Q3lDI/AAAAAAAAAmU/tr4K_oTyyHU/s1600-h/seflowershow.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433706198043431986" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 335px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 202px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S2hm_4Q3lDI/AAAAAAAAAmU/tr4K_oTyyHU/s400/seflowershow.jpg" border="0" /></a>Purchase your tickets at <a href="http://www.sehort.org/">http://www.sehort.org/</a>. They are all wonderful and I've been keeping my eye out for a favorite...<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S3WFQ_zS5zI/AAAAAAAAApE/eovcw896kcY/s1600-h/Painting+002.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5437398652170725170" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S3WFQ_zS5zI/AAAAAAAAApE/eovcw896kcY/s400/Painting+002.jpg" /></a> This one of the South Carolina marsh was the winner. I haven't found a home for it yet, but it's lovely just like this on the kitchen bar! Any suggestions for framing? Something simple, not too fancy, cozy, but little or no upkeep required. I want it to just 'fit' into the landscape, like it was there all along! All of these seem to fit the description...<br /><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S2B8jLcdNXI/AAAAAAAAAls/dah_KBqsHUU/s1600-h/cot.living.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5431478094418228594" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S2B8jLcdNXI/AAAAAAAAAls/dah_KBqsHUU/s320/cot.living.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S2B8i0zEoAI/AAAAAAAAAlk/NCN3bfzBsMw/s1600-h/cot.living8.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5431478088339070978" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S2B8i0zEoAI/AAAAAAAAAlk/NCN3bfzBsMw/s320/cot.living8.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S2B8iUujs5I/AAAAAAAAAlc/Y6mXUn6zUkM/s1600-h/cot.living7.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5431478079730201490" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S2B8iUujs5I/AAAAAAAAAlc/Y6mXUn6zUkM/s320/cot.living7.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S2B8h3tC8LI/AAAAAAAAAlU/cSYxM3zsPCg/s1600-h/cot.living5.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5431478071939231922" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S2B8h3tC8LI/AAAAAAAAAlU/cSYxM3zsPCg/s320/cot.living5.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div align="center"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S2B8hnPn4fI/AAAAAAAAAlM/pCjAvNh2wlM/s1600-h/COTTAGELIVING.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5431478067520856562" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S2B8hnPn4fI/AAAAAAAAAlM/pCjAvNh2wlM/s320/COTTAGELIVING.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />This one may be my favorite!;)</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center"><em>*All images courtesy of Cottage Living</em><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div></div></div>Catherinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07493175832266721004noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5367353680653267027.post-19868336723129825402010-01-21T10:41:00.000-08:002010-01-22T10:47:00.642-08:00Fabulous Finds!<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S1isZeut2PI/AAAAAAAAAlE/vcOJttNx8Es/s1600-h/Rugs+001.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5429278904540846322" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S1isZeut2PI/AAAAAAAAAlE/vcOJttNx8Es/s320/Rugs+001.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S1ir5JFhUwI/AAAAAAAAAk8/cxto9T72IBM/s1600-h/Rugs+002.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5429278348975100674" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S1ir5JFhUwI/AAAAAAAAAk8/cxto9T72IBM/s320/Rugs+002.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div>I've been dog earing pages in magazines, shopping around, and searching online for a rug. While I was in Jefferson on my day off Monday I decided to check out Real Deal's rug department. Real Deals is the old mill turned shopping center...it's humongous and full of <strong><em>Real</em> <em>Deals</em></strong>! I hadn't been to the Rug part of it yet; so Mom and I headed over to see what we've been missing. It is full of all types, shapes, and sizes of rugs and carpeting. I found two, this one for my den and another for my bedroom! The one in the picture is a Drury rug made in India. All this time I've had my eye out for <em>a Pottery Barn </em>type rug...you know the non-descript, but classic look, (which I do love, btw). But, when I saw this one it was love at first sight;) What do you think of it, do you love it too?!<br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S1igLfVc6OI/AAAAAAAAAks/6v4Yhe6rHSs/s1600-h/Rugs+001.jpg"></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div></div>Catherinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07493175832266721004noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5367353680653267027.post-9643224426091354582010-01-20T09:59:00.001-08:002010-01-20T11:38:17.252-08:00Flowers By PosyHere are some photos of the flowers for the wedding from this past weekend. These arrangements were moved to the Reception location for Saturday night. I think that's a great idea to use the arrangements for both events. We've done several events where the rehearsal dinner flowers are "fluffed" and used for the reception the next night. Pretty economical if you ask me!</div><br /><div></div><br /><div><em>If you are in need of beautiful fresh flowers for any future occasions contact Posy with <strong>Flowers by Posy</strong> at (706)367-8393.</em><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>Catherinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07493175832266721004noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5367353680653267027.post-91362584989209296332010-01-15T06:49:00.000-08:002010-01-15T06:54:00.324-08:00T.G.I.F.<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S1CAlWz9I0I/AAAAAAAAAjM/Xuxocs6Q8Cw/s1600-h/shannonfricke.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5426978930248459074" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 208px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 229px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S1CAlWz9I0I/AAAAAAAAAjM/Xuxocs6Q8Cw/s200/shannonfricke.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div>This weekend I'll be doing flowers with my mother for a wedding...and wishing my hydrangeas will be this beautiful this summer...Have a great <strong>3 day</strong> weekend!</div>Catherinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07493175832266721004noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5367353680653267027.post-46977496992818133132010-01-14T12:00:00.000-08:002010-01-15T06:57:00.552-08:00Introducing...<strong>Ella Caroline,</strong> born October 22,2009 and <strong>Posy Ann,</strong> born November 13, 2009<br /><div><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S09_O5XZ85I/AAAAAAAAAis/sxMHaId7QqQ/s1600-h/eandpa.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5426695969898623890" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 257px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 169px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S09_O5XZ85I/AAAAAAAAAis/sxMHaId7QqQ/s200/eandpa.jpg" border="0" /></a> Their first Christmas in matching outfits from Grandmother Posy! Understand you share your garden with many creatures that need food and shelter.<br />Well, about the only other creature, besides my dog Lucy that I care about feeding are the birds! I have a bird feeder I try to keep full and got a bird bath for Christmas. So, I'm willing to share my garden with Birds...and really that's it!<br /><br />2. Plant Natives.<br />One of my Birthday presents was a book of Georgia Native Plants...Perfect!<br /><br />3. Remove Invasives<br />Working on it!<br /><br />4. Enroll in a Gardening Course.<br />I've been eyeing a few the Botanical Gardens is offering this Spring.<br /><br />5. Donate Excess Produce.<br />I like this idea, but don't think I'll be quite at the level of donating this year!!<br /><br />6. Buy Gardening Accessories.<br />Another Birthday present was Lowe's gift cards!!<br /><br />7. Change your garden's appearance.<br />This is one of my personal 2010 resolutions!!<br /><br />8. Plant heirloom flowers and veggies.<br />I consider my style to be classic...so I think this is a great resolution for the garden!<br /><br />9. Practice less poisonous plant disease and insect controls.<br /><br />10. Buy Local.<br />I'm a member of locallygrown.net, it's local farms that have their produce for sale. I like to buy some of my veggies there each week!<br /><br />Bring on 2010!!Catherinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07493175832266721004noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5367353680653267027.post-46153177202015534192010-01-11T12:45:00.000-08:002010-01-11T13:04:45.587-08:00Herb Gardening<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S0uO0m8y7CI/AAAAAAAAAhA/dkuQzSN75E0/s1600-h/garden.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425587210557778978" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 317px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 208px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S0uO0m8y7CI/AAAAAAAAAhA/dkuQzSN75E0/s200/garden.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div>I am planning to have an herb garden this year. I cleared out an old bed by the back door this fall. I think it will be the perfect spot for herbs, right outside the kitchen...not to mention it will smell delightful! The photo above is some of Bunny Williams' work. It's a little out of my league, but I can dream, right?! </div>Catherinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07493175832266721004noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5367353680653267027.post-21964933047006207282010-01-08T07:36:00.000-08:002010-01-08T08:33:52.006-08:00Everything in it's Place and a Place for EverythingI'm a big fan of organization. I'm not a fan of clutter. My house is small and clutter happens way too quickly! I love bookshelves and the personality they can bring to a room...Books can be a "conversation piece" too. I'm considering having some shelves built, but I'm undecided about where? I've got a good collection, but I'm always adding to it, here are a few I've had my eye on...<br /><br /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5424404416586816690" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 150px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S0dbE8C3nLI/AAAAAAAAAg4/8ivuYQ0AIxw/s200/books.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /> <em><span style="font-size:78%;"> *Picture above from </span></em><a href="http://mybluehydrangea.blogspot.com/"><em><span style="font-size:78%;">http://mybluehydrangea.blogspot.com/</span></em></a><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S0dSwMVnhuI/AAAAAAAAAgw/KYdak4pabCg/s1600-h/a-luxurious-library-xlg-51320910.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5424395264090146530" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 195px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 215px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S0dSwMVnhuI/AAAAAAAAAgw/KYdak4pabCg/s200/a-luxurious-library-xlg-51320910.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />I like these shelves that are just 'tucked away.'<br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S0dR52w8DVI/AAAAAAAAAgo/He-o4Qa1Eqw/s1600-h/housebeautiful-.jpg"></a><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5424394246625301010" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 265px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 217px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S0dR09_GEhI/AAAAAAAAAgg/eQogKAqfrFg/s200/swishlist.jpg" border="0" /> You could spend all day looking through this wall-full of books!<br /><br /><div><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5424394154637697154" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 205px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 237px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S0dRvnTioII/AAAAAAAAAgY/s5EhISYiC2w/s200/melanieavecedo_delight_by_design.jpg" border="0" /><br />And, cozy up here on a rainy day....<br /><div><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5424394070000126802" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 225px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 225px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S0dRqsAXy1I/AAAAAAAAAgQ/lY98X0xE8zM/s200/gasl_paint_rainbow_21.jpg" border="0" /> I love these bamboo shelves...and probably will be what I start my shelves endeavor with!<br /><br /><div><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5424393657703861378" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 232px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 227px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4wwAI6Rdkgg/S0dRSsFSDII/AAAAAAAAAgI/MboiaHHmOTA/s200/bookshelf.jpg" border="0" /><br />I love this fresh look and having shelves close to the kitchen to store your cookbooks!<br /><br /><br /><br /><div><span style="font-size:78%;">*All other images via </span><a href="http://www.housebeautiful.com/"><span style="font-size:78%;">http://www.housebeautiful.com/</span></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div></div></div></div>Catherinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07493175832266721004noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5367353680653267027.post-49515873612470356082010-01-07T08:18:00.000-08:002010-01-08T11:50:14.896-08:00Let it Snow!
